Every programming language has its own set of keywords. Here are stories written by students at BCRS, Tiruvalla, woven around C++ keywords.
An Alien’s Journey

(Adithya Krishnan - 31 keywords)
One day, my alien friend whose name is asm was travelling in space. He had
given the destination co-ordinates by default into
planet X. His space ship was in auto mode.
It was registerd according
to spaceship laws to the SLO (Space Lanes Organization). During the journey, he
was playing his virtual game
and lost control of the ship’s console. He forgot to switch off the excess fuel pump and
ran out of fuel. He had no money to catch a
space bus. Now, he was not able to continue his long journey.
But because he was travelling through
the inline space
expressway, he was able to get help from space police. They took him to
the union of publicaffairs. There, the case of his ship was assigned to
an operator. Although
he was short, asm was a
smart guy. After an external
examination, he found that the fuel was lost due to some other reason. So, the
alien signed a private agreement with the operator
to break the body of the
space ship and try to
fix the defect, The operator had no idea what to do. So, he decided to throw all the things outside.
Now, asm felt he shouldn’t have
signed this agreement. He looked for ways to get the agreement unsigned. At last, the ship was scrapped
to its steel structure. The
union decided to use the protected funds
to build him a new ship of ordinary class, which
could float, with the sizeof an appropriate one. The
earlier volatile power source
was replaced by a static one. They
used a reliable template and
at last, asm was able to resume his journey through the void of space.

Once upon a time, there was a boy,
Akshay Shaji Mathew, who was nicknamed asm.
He studied in class VIII
and went to a new private school, while his parents lived in the Gulf.
At school, he made many fresh acquaintances and friends. They would
go to school and return together.
Unfortunately, these friends had some bad habits like drinking and smoking.
asm’s friends signed a
letter that made it appear that his parents had given permission to take leave.
With the attendance register taken
care of, the friends could take as long a break as they wished and do it when they wanted to. They continued doing this for a couple of years.
Finally, asm began to have trouble breathing. He was detected with lung
cancer. The sizeof his
lungs had ballooned. asm automatically
began to weaken. He would try to
quit, but couldn’t switch from
it. In a short span of
time, he died. When the news became public,
the entire community was shocked. Asm’s story has a moral for us, if we have bad company or bad habits.

was a little isolated. When we reached the house, I found the place a little
mysterious.
At night, while everyone else was sleeping, I
heard a creaking noise for a
few seconds. I was instantly alert, because I felt someone was breaking into our house. I switched on the lights and went down to
check on the source of the noise. However, I could find no one. So I went back
to sleep. Next day, when we were watching TV, the dish got broken. We called
the dish operator and the TV was repaired.
When I switched on my computer, I saw
that some files contained horror videos. I deleted them. The next day, I had class and when I came home, I found
that my parents were not at home. They had left a note saying that they would
return at night. Suddenly, I felt far from the protected person I usually felt. While studying, the
lights went off. I thought I heard someone at the door. When I went to catch him, I could find no one else outside. I became scared and
within a short while I

the door, I heard my parents’ car drive in. Boy was I relieved!! I told them
about my experience. We all had a good laugh.

It was another boring assembly at school. John looked at the asm (Assistant School Master), who
was also yawning. After what felt like ages, assembly finally got over and
everyone had to goto their
classes.
The Maths teacher entered class and asked them to open their
books to chapter 7 and solve problem 14. As the teacher taught, John was
more interested in other
things. His friend, Allen
asked him if he had heard of this cool new gadget
known as the virtual reality
visor. Allen had tried it the previous day and it was so cool. Suddenly, the
teacher spotted them talking and marched them off to the principal.
After a long sermon from the Principal, they
were finally allowed to continue class.
After lunch break, the
Physics teacher floated into
class. John did not find the subject interesting
and dozed off. The next thing he knew, the teacher had returned with a cane and gave him a sound
thrashing. A short while later, came the Chemistry
teacher. He demanded to see if their
test papers had been signed by
their parents. John hadn’t got the sign. So, he took his punishment (another
thrashing) very sportingly. Yep, he could take anything that life would throw at him. Now, it was beginning
to feel like an eventful and normal day in John’s school life. When John
reached home, his mother asked him, “Hi honey! How was school?”. “Well, it was
certainly better than usual,” John replied enthusiastically.

Ram was a very smart and short boy who studied in class XII. He was crazy about virtual games. As his birthday gift,
his friend Romano had gifted him a new game
called “Dragon Killer”. Ram switched
on his laptop and entered typedef as
password on his protected laptop.
He installed the game and he decided to try it.
Ram registered himself and
logged into the game. The game was about a princess – Mary, who had been
kidnapped and made static by a
2-headed dragon. The player had to rescue Mary after pressing the continue button.
Ram was filled with a volatile spirit of excitement. He
overcame some obstacles and reached the castle. The infrastructure and sizeof the castle amazed him. The castle was locked by a
big door. Ram fought a number of magical creatures opened the door automatically. When he entered the castle
the interior looked void.
The reason was that there were no paintings or caricatures like other castles.
Ram heard a loud cry of the dragon from
atop the castle. He headed towards the top of the castle and hid behind a
pillar. It didn’t take him long to
spot the imprisoned princess and the mighty dragon flying around her. Ram shot
arrows at both heads of the dragon. The arrows pierced the dragon’s head and it
was thrown out of the castle and died. Ram realized that the game was over. But
he wanted to continue. He wanted to talk to the princess and make her his friend. He felt helpless, because he had
no way of doing so.
Ram understood why his parents told him
not to play virtual games. He also came to know that if we regularly play
virtual games, our minds will not catch any other things. Ram resigned the game and found real games
to engage in. Whenever he felt bored he would play physical games for physical
and mental relaxation.

It was a sunny day Christmas day. I had
planned to goto a
strange island named asm on
a voyage. It was going to be a new experience
for me. My best friend Jack was with me. Our ship was
named enum. The structure of the ship was quite
interesting. It had a long mast
with boom, and a short stern
with bow, cockpit, rudder and cabin. It also had dual auto engine. Before starting to
travel, we had to sign our
names in the captain’s register.
And finally, we started our journey.
Real friends
Joel Eapen (14 keywords)
It was school re-opening day and I
was late. So, my mom told me to catch an auto or else I would not reach on time. I
went to the junction, to try for an auto. I saw a friend of mine and we were late by 15
min. We walked swiftly to the school. I suddenly looked into the register to find class. As I went to the class, I saw
a short stout woman. I
guessed it was our class teacher and I asked her whether I could enter. She
told me to stay out and continued
her class. One of my friends grinned at me constantly and he was thrown
out of the class at once. We both stood for a long time until the bell rang for the break.
Filling the void
(Jemima - 13

A famous lawyer John Mathew was taking
a break in the middle
of a case. He started thinking about the past years and how the years of work
had made him try out new things in life. He realized how
he needed to stay fresh and not stressed out. That is how he came to own this beautiful private and extremely protected house. He sighed
contentedly. Although his good luck had been quite a good catch by default, he managed to stay afloat through difficult waters. Right now, all he
needed was for his
best friend to come and stay for a while to fill the void.
The lost eye
(Joel Johnson – 14
keywords)
Once, there lived a mother and her son,
Som. Som had lost his father and sister in an accident, many years earlier.
Som’s mother was very loving. She would do anything
for Som. However, in Som’s eyes, she had one great blemish, she was
one-eyed. While at college, some friends from Som’s class came to his home. They teased
Som because of his mother’s appearance. Som’s character began to change. He started behaving rudely with
his mother. Som wanted to leave home and goto his
uncle’s house to stay. He deleted
all her snaps from his social networking sites.
The story continues after a break of a few years. Som had become
a well-to-do businessman. One day, he was invited for a college reunion. So, he took
a short leave from
work. On the way, he bumped into his mother. He was not sure if he wanted to greet her. When he
could not avoid her, he told
her about his college reunion and asked her not to follow him there. She told
him that she wished to talk to him, but he refused. She was not able to catch his attention even for a few
seconds. While she was standing there, she met with an accident. At the
college, there was a public function.
On returning from college,
Som saw a large gathering on the road. Some people were carrying Som’s mother
to her funeral. Som saw a letter in her hand. The letter revealed the truth
about Som’s life – how he had lost sight in one eye and how his mother had
donated her eye to him. After reading this letter,
Som was dumb-struck.
Moral: It’s good to live in the present, but we should also look into the past.
MY FRIEND
Tarun N. George
(31 keywords)
It was my
birthday. A new looking auto pulled up inline with my gate while I was trying to throw on
some clothes to goto my class. I had to break a wall between me and
this volatile friend of mine. His structure was rather short or at least shorter than me
because I am rather long. My
friend is such a peculiar case.
He grew up protected,
without any interaction with
the external world and
the public. Therefore, his character was really annoying. The problem was that we
had registered ourselves
and signed the
agreement to buy a virtual reality
game called “enumerate” from
the union of virtual
games for my birthday. The sizeof it
made me rethink my decision. Therefore I went to our operator, talked about it and unsigned myself from the agreement.
This angered him and he decided to own it privately
and stopped talking to me. So there I was constantly
trying to talk to him during class. Unfortunately, our teacher saw me talking
and sent me out of class. After some time he asked me to return to class and reminded me not
to repeat it.
