Students' stories using C++ keywords

Every programming language has its own set of keywords. Here are stories written by students at BCRS, Tiruvalla, woven around C++ keywords.

An Alien’s Journey
(Adithya Krishnan - 31 keywords)

One day, my alien friend whose name is asm was travelling in space. He had given the destination co-ordinates by default into planet X. His space ship was in auto mode. It was registerd according to spaceship laws to the SLO (Space Lanes Organization). During the journey, he was playing his virtual game and lost control of the ship’s console. He forgot to switch off the excess fuel pump and ran out of fuel. He had no money to catch a space bus. Now, he was not able to continue his long journey.

But because he was travelling through the inline space expressway, he was able to get help from space police. They took him to the union of publicaffairs. There, the case of his ship was assigned to an operatorAlthough he was short, asm was a smart guy. After an external examination, he found that the fuel was lost due to some other reason. So, the alien signed a private agreement with the operator to break the body of the space ship and try to fix the defect, The operator had no idea what to do. So, he decided to throw all the things outside.
Now, asm felt he shouldn’t have signed this agreement. He looked for ways to get the agreement unsigned.  At last, the ship was scrapped to its steel structure. The union decided to use the protected funds to build him a new ship of ordinary classwhich could float, with the sizeof an appropriate one. The earlier volatile power source was replaced by a static one. They used a reliable template and at last, asm was able to resume his journey through the void of space.

Fake Friends
(Richie Mathew - 20 keywords)

Once upon a time, there was a boy, Akshay Shaji Mathew, who was nicknamed asm. He studied in class VIII and went to a new private school, while his parents lived in the Gulf. At school, he made many fresh acquaintances and friends. They would go to school and return together. Unfortunately, these friends had some bad habits like drinking and smoking. asm’s friends signed a letter that made it appear that his parents had given permission to take leave. With the attendance register taken care of, the friends could take as long break as they wished and do it when they wanted to. They continued doing this for a couple of years.

Finally, asm began to have trouble breathing. He was detected with lung cancer. The sizeof his lungs had ballooned. asm automatically began to weaken. He would try to quit, but couldn’t switch from it. In a short span of time, he died. When the news became public, the entire community was shocked. Asm’s story has a moral for us, if we have bad company or bad habits.

They had left a note saying that they would return at night. Suddenly, I felt far from the protected person I usually felt. While studying, the lights went off. I thought I heard someone at the door. (Saurabh Sunil - 18 keywords)

It was another boring assembly at school. John looked at the asm (Assistant School Master), who was also yawning. After what felt like ages, assembly finally got over and everyone had to goto their classes.
The Maths teacher entered class and asked them to open their books to chapter 7 and solve problem 14. As the teacher taught, John was more interested in other things. His friend, Allen asked him if he had heard of this cool new gadget known as the virtual reality visor. Allen had tried it the previous day and it was so cool. Suddenly, the teacher spotted them talking and marched them off to the principal.

After a long sermon from the Principal, they were finally allowed to continue class. After lunch break, the Physics teacher floated into class. John did not find the subject interesting and dozed off. The next thing he knew, the teacher had returned with a cane and gave him a sound thrashing. A short while later, came the Chemistry teacher. He demanded to see if their test papers had been signed by their parents. John hadn’t got the sign. So, he took his punishment (another thrashing) very sportingly. Yep, he could take anything that life would throw at him. Now, it was beginning to feel like an eventful and normal day in John’s school life. When John reached home, his mother asked him, “Hi honey! How was school?”. “Well, it was certainly better than usual,” John replied enthusiastically.

Right now, all he needed was for his best friend to come and stay for a while to fill the void.

The lost eye
(Joel Johnson – 14 keywords)

Once, there lived a mother and her son, Som. Som had lost his father and sister in an accident, many years earlier. Som’s mother was very loving. She would do anything for Som. However, in Som’s eyes, she had one great blemish, she was one-eyed. While at college, some friends from Som’s class came to his home. MY FRIEND
Tarun N. George (31 keywords)

His structure was rather short or at least shorter than me because I am rather long. My friend is such a peculiar case.  He grew up protected, without any interaction with the external world and the public. Therefore, his character was really annoying. The problem was that we had registered ourselves and signed the agreement to buy a virtual reality game called “enumerate” from the union of virtual games for my birthday. The sizeof it made me rethink my decision. Therefore I went to our operator, talked about it and unsigned myself from the agreement. This angered him and he decided to own it privately and stopped talking to me. So there I was constantly trying to talk to him during class. Unfortunately, our teacher saw me talking and sent me out of class. After some time he asked me to return to class and reminded me not to repeat it.
